This template is for temporarily hiding pieces of text. For example if some text is relevant for a page, but the page is used as a part of some publication, and the piece is not relevant for the publication. The piece can then be put into this template, and when the publication file (usually a pdf) is produced, this template is temporarily changed to empty text. Thus, the pieces disappear from the pages, but reappear when the template is reverted back to normal. However, I have not tested, if there are limitations about what can be in the text (characters = or { may cause trouble).
