Scope

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination

Purpose

This assessment evaluates the effects of methyl mercury and omega-3 fatty acids on development of IQ in children. The source of exposure is Finnish fish consumption.

Boundaries

  • Finnish fish consumption (population of Finland)
  • Current situation

Scenarios

This study is a business-as-usual, i.e. a burden-of-disease assessment with only one decision scenario.

Intended users

Experts, researchers and decision makers in the field of environmental health, anyone interested and concerned with beneficial and hazardous constituents in fish species in the markets and especially the net health consequences of fish consumption to infants.

Participants

Participation basically open. Some parts containing original data will be protected.

  • Everyone interested
  • Beneris researchers (full access to the protected parts)
