- The CSCP - Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (a collaborative body linking UNEP and the Wuppertal Institute) and the German Society for Technical Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit - GTZ) have jointly published a compendium of policy instruments for resource efficiency. The compendium introduces a broad range of policy instruments that have shown success in increasing resource efficiency and promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns in a number of jurisdictions. In addition to traditional regulatory or 'command and control' approaches the compendium profiles a much wider array of policy tools including economic, information, cooperation and educational instruments.
