Scope

Remaining lifetime risk of CVD death in adults describes the quantitative relationship between exposure to methyl mercury (MeHg) and omega-3 fatty acids from fish intake in adults and remaining lifetime risk of dying from cardiovascular diseases.

Definition

The ramaining lifetime risk of CVD death in adults is defined as a probability that an adult person exposed to MeHg and omega-3 fatty acids from fish will die from cardiovascular diseases in his/her remaining lifetime. This variable is indexed by variable age. It applies to the two last age categories, i.e. 18-55yr and over 55yr.
