Scope

Does the option increase or decrease consumption of energy and production of heat?[1]

Definition

Energy and heat production and use hold a significant share of overall carbon dioxide emissions and harmful human emissions in general. In the short run, environmentally friendly transport modes (such as marine or rail transport) and renewable energy sources (such as solar energy and wind energy) need to be boosted. But most important: Europe´s inhabitants need to change their own position as well as their actions in daily life towards a energy-saving, more environmentally friendly lifestyle.[1]
